How can I dye my hair blonde?

What brand (without bleach) do you recommend to dye my hair a gold blonde?

And how do I actually do it my self?

I have light/fair skin and light brown eyes. I have natural light-medium brown hair with blonde highlights (so my hair is partially blonde...I just want a solid blonde now).... Whatever does not have highlights has been untouched by hair dye...so I know it's possible without bleach. But what brand should I buy and how do I do it at home?

I want a result similar to the following ones (Note: these ladies are were natural brunnettes):

Without bleach? I think it would be hard to do. There are products out there that are "temporary" hair colors. They wash out in a few shampoos.

(I use color mixed w/bleach. I get it at Sally's Beauty supply.) They may be able to recommend a brand for you.

I know this isn't what you asked, but for the particular shade you want I'd recommend going to a professional. My mom has this color and in order to acheive a natural look she has it dyed gold blonde with highlights. If you do decide to dye it, go w/ loreal, just be advised it won't look like the pictures if it's only one color.

Well....to repeat what another person said, this is not the kind of thing you can do yourself. You won't get good results! If you look at the pics closely, you will see that there is an intricate blending of colors.

To lighten hair, there are a combination of colors that are used and this is what a professional is for. Also the hair cannot be lightened without bleach. Frankly, I have to say that there is nothing that looks worse than a home dye job, especially going from dark to light; it is horrible. It is important to go to someone reputable.
