Is it possible to dye/bleach my hair a lighter color over my already dyed hair?

About 3 months ago I dyed my hair dark brown to cover up my outgrown hilights (my natural color is brown). I used Clairol Natural Insticts in a temporary dye. Thing is, it's lightened up a little bit but it's still totally dark after 3 months. Would I be able to get my hair dyed blonde now?

Yes, but going from dark to light is tricky. You have a big risk of the color turning out brassy or coppery. For going from dark to light I would go to a professional.

I did it myself once. Let's just say go to a pro!

Please don't try to lighten your hair at home...it will most likely turn out brassy or fried. If you can't afford to go to a salon then don't do anything you your hair.

BTW...color won't lighten your hair much...only bleach will get you that blond.

yes, you can do whatever color you would like to your hair as long as you wait at least 14 days or it could damage your hair. Hope it looks great.

Fordgirl; you most likely, will have a big problem, trying to get all the tint out, at best, you will have a brassy mess. just let it grow out, it has all ready grown out a inch and half in the past three months.(hair grows 1/2 inch a month
