well usually when you buy dye it comes with a book of instructions.they usually say to start from roots to ends

Once you buy your hair dye there should be VERY detailed instructions, and it should come with gloves to protect your hands for turning colors. If your dye doesnt come with instructions, you can always get it done professionally, which can get pricey

Well, Im not sure of any sites. There are directions on the back of most hair dye packages. I dye my hair quite frequently though. Make sure you have activating lotion and repairing shampoo before you start though. Make sure youre in front of a mirror and have gloves and an apron. Hair dye stains like you wouldnt believe. I always use a brushing comb (located at Sallys) because it spreads the dye from the roots faster. Most dyes recommend you shampoo your hair before you begin (dont dry you hair). Put your hair up in sections and start applying dye from your roots to your tips. Once you do that to each section, wait for however long the box tells you to before you wash the dye out. When washing the dye out, use a repairing or color treated shampoo. :] Hope I helped.
